Alliance française de Séou lwas founded in 1964 and its Gangnam Branch opened in 1985. Other Alliance française
Centres opened in Korea: Busan in 1980, Gwangju in 1983,
Daejeon in 1985 and Jeonju in 2000. In 2003, the Korean network of Alliance
française welcomed two new centres in Incheon
and Daegu to meet an increasing demand
française centres contribute to promote the interest in all francophone
cultures and encourage cultural exchanges. The Centres also offer General
French courses for all publics and courses of French on specific objectives
upon request to cater to the needs of companies and administrations.
francaise Centres in Seoul, Busan, Daejeon and Gwanju are examination centres
for the major official exams and tests for French as a foreign language organised by
the French Ministry of Education: DELF, DALF and TCF.
